Ongoing digital transport approach could leave more than 1.5 million Londoners behind

The watchdog London TravelWatch has recently published a report that reveals the dangers that come from the ongoing digitalisation we are seeing in the transport sector as it is revealed that many Londoners are being left behind in the rapidly evolving technological climate. According to this report, it is said that 1 in 6 people in London say that they are unable to buy a ticket as they are incapable of doing so or simply do not have access to a smartphone with an internet connection. It is also said that 1 in 5 Londoners have said that due to their limited access to online tickets, they are now having to pay more for their travels. Those most affected by these concerns would typically be those above the age of 55+ with this demographic being largely unskilled when it comes to technology.
