Since the last few cyber-attacks that were taking place in different important airports in the U.S. and other countries, we came to realize that those attacks were targeting not only information from airlines but also from passengers. The data they retrieved can provide interesting info that they can use to cause more harm in some other ways, and not always directly targeting airlines. Therefore, threatening cyber security at airports and their passengers with the information they can retrieve from the database could be counterproductive for the airlines that provide services to those who are supposed to travel safely. Those who usually travel don’t need to think about what can happen to them and what will happen with the information they supply to the airlines at airports. That’s why taking care of cyber security in airports it’s a subject many companies and organizations in the air travel industry want to take care of.
