Germany to increase funding for low emissions transport vehicles

The German ministry of digital and transportation plans to invest 1b into climate friendly transport vehicles. This annoucement comes after four times as many applicants for funding were received since 2021. Germany is currently aiming to have 75% of new vehicles be emissions free by the year 2030. The increase in funding will support a staggering 7000 climate friendly vehicles and 3000 refuelling charging points. Applications for funding will next begin in Q3 of 2023.
