The founders of Argo AI, the vehicle company that shut down last year, are now launching a new self-driving business that could specialize in trucking and ride-hailing according to people close to the matter. This business run by Bryan Salesky and Pete Rander will be backed by investment from a company that is yet to be identified however it is said that they are not an automaker. This startup despite being unnamed still has hired between 40 and 50 workers according to a source that does not wish to be named. This venture comes at a tough time for the industry of autonomous vehicles as it is taking longer than many expected for these vehicles to become more viable as a revenue generator causing investment to be much harder to come by.
