In December last year (2022) Mario Greco the chief executive of insurance giant Zurich sent shockwaves through the cyber world as he announced that cyberattacks were set to become uninsurable. With this in mind, how is it that we can save the cyber-insurance industry before it is too late? The first policy change to think about is that insurers should be trained at a higher level to be able to realize the root of cyber-security issues, that being the reliance on employee-generated passwords that the company cannot control. Changing this allows the insurers to correctly determine which attacks should and shouldn’t be insured. Read more below:
