Airbus begins working on hydrogen engine prototype

Airbus has officially picked its motor supplier to develop a hydrogen engine prototype. The airframe intends to bring a zero-emission aircraft to the market by the year 2035 with the motor being part of a proposed hydrogen fuel-cell energy system. The supplier they chose is Nidec-Leroy-Somer, a Japanese-based group.
